Traveling with Essential Oils

13 Day Road Trip in Iceland

· Essential Oils

Traveling this summer and wondering what essential oils to bring?

First, you should know that its totally safe to bring your essential oils (5 ml, 15 ml, and 10 ml roller ball bottles) in your carry-on or checked luggage if you are traveling by plane.  Be sure to pack your bottles in a carrier that will secure your oils safely.  If you need to travel light, bring only the oils that you really need at your destination.  Check out my essential oil packing list at the bottom of this page.

My family and I will be traveling to Iceland this summer, following the Ring Road (a road that encricles the island) by campervan.  So, we will be using this vehicle for pretty much everything - getting to our destinations, for sleeping, for preparing meals, etc.  It will be our home for almost 2 weeks.

Why Iceland?  Iceland is nature's wonderland.  With its many glaciers, active volcanoes, breathtaking waterfalls, hiking trails, and endemic wildlife - we want to experience this magestic landscape that is unlike anywhere else on Earth.  Because we are doing a long road trip and will be active everyday during the summer solstice (~22 hours of light), this infleunced what essential oils and health products to bring with us.

Check out my 5 minute video on what we are bringing on our road trip while in traveling in Iceland.

What to bring?  This ultimately depends on the types of activities you plan to do and your lifestyle.  Since we plan to be physically active everyday while living in a campervan, here is our packing list:

Pilot diffuser - light-weight, portable diffuser with a rechargeable battery with USB plug that fits perfectly in a cup holder.  We plan to diffuse oils to keep us awake with driving (spearmint + lime), and while sleeping (serenity + balance).

Onguard Hand Sanitizer (spray bottle)- needed for airplanes, restuarants, etc to protect from environmental threats

Terrashield Outdoor Blend (spray bottle) - toxic-free spray to protect us from bugs (like midges) while in Iceland.  Safe to use on your skin and smells great too.

Deep Blue products (Polyphenol supplements, Deep Blue Rub) to help alleviate muscle and joint discomfort from physical activities

Essential Oils for sleep and relaxation: Serenity Restful Blend, Balance Grounding Blend, Lavender (great for skin irritations and bug bites), Roman Chamomile

Other essential oils - Breathe respiratory blend (apply on bottom of feet and bridge of nose to help with congestion and faciliate easier breathing); Wintergreen (to help with muscle stiffness), Spearmint (to help with digestion when rubbed on the belly and for energy), Lime and Lemon (to be added to water for a refreshing and cleansing drink)

Products for immune system support - On Guard Softgels (a blend of essential oils to support and boost the immune system), PB Assist Jr (packets of probiotic powder to suppor the immune and digestive systems)

Other Supplements (put in a pill organizer)- MicroPlex VMz (food nutrient complex with essential nutrients), AlphaCRS+ (cellular vitality complex for cellular energy), EOMega (omega essential fatty acid complex), DDR Prime softgels (for cellular support), Copaiba softgels (for immune system support and to ease anxiety), Turmeric dual chamber capsules (to support a healthy inflammatory response)
